Woman says Locomote Express driver sexually assaulted her during delivery

PINEVILLE – A Wyoming County woman has sued Locomote Express after she says one of its former drivers sexually assaulted her.

Angela Roberts filed her complaint in Wyoming Circuit Court against Locomote, which is based in Huntington, and driver Doug Thompson.

According to her complaint, Thompson sexually harassed, assaulted and battered her during a scheduled delivery on September 6, 2019.

Roberts says Thompson made several inappropriate sexual comments and sexual advances to her. She says she did not consent to Thompson’s acts

She says Thompson admitted to the actions to Locomote, and he was terminated.

Roberts says she also has suffered past and future pain and suffering, physical inconvenience and discomfort, loss of time, mental anguish and loss of enjoyment of life. She also says she has and will have medical expenses, lost wages, lost earning capacity, travel expenses to medical appointments. She seeks compensatory damages as well as pre- and post-judgment interest and other relief.

She is being represented by attorney Thomas H. Evans II of Oceana. The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Michael Cochrane.
