MOUNDSVILLE — Six former employees are suing Wylie Eye and Dental claiming they were berated and injured during their employment.

Charles Wylie and Wylie Eye and Dental both were named as defendants in the suit.

Dawn Bourke, Stephanie Cain, Tina Corey, Jodi Griffith, Lori Kinnick and Angela Shreve all were employed by the defendants and were exposed to Wylie frequently screaming obscenities while he and the plaintiffs were performing intricate dental procedures on patients, according to a complaint filed in Marshall Circuit Court.

The plaintiffs claim Wylie also would throw items around examination rooms in the plaintiffs' direction when he was angry and would make unfounded accusations about the plaintiffs, accusing them of stealing or pocketing money.

The complaint says Wyile assaulted Corey, bruising her side and leg and he also stabbed Cain and Shreve with needles that had just been used on patients.

The plaintiffs are seeking compensatory and punitive damages. They are represented by Paul J. Harris in Wheeling.
