MOUNDSVILLE — A woman is suing Nail City Inspections alleging it breached its contract with her.

Angela Shadd contracted with the defendant to perform a home inspection on a Moundsville dwelling that she was considering purchasing, according to a complaint filed in Marshall Circuit Court.

Shadd claims the home inspection report failed to note any structural weakness or problems with the flooring and because she was unaware of this, she purchased the home.

Shortly after moving in, she noticed a significant shifting of the walls and floors and Shadd employed S&P Engineering to do a structural inspection and then she took out a loan to fix the structural damages, according to the suit.

Shadd claims Nail City Inspections breached its contract by failing to perform a thorough, professional, accurate and workmanlike inspection.

Shadd is seeking compensatory damages in the amount of $150,000. She is represented by David C. White.

The case is assigned to Circuit judge Jeff Cramer.
