CHARLESTON — A woman is suing Webb Plumbing claiming one of its employees caused a car accident that caused her injuries.
Kenneth Stumpf was also named as a defendant in the suit.
Alayna Thompson was traveling on Interstate 64 East in Charleston when Stumpf, who was operating a vehicle owned by Webb Plumbing, attempted to merge from the right lane into the left lane where Thompson was driving, according to a complaint filed in Kanawha Circuit Court.
Thompson claims she was able to avoid a severe collision, but she subsequently felt the defendant's van enter her lane again and forcibly bump her rear passenger side of the vehicle and that caused her to slide out of control and crash into a concrete barrier.
Thompson is seeking compensatory damages. She is represented by Charles M. Johnstone II and Lucas Rubenstein of Johnstone & Gabhart in Charleston.
The case is assigned to Circuit Judge Tera Salango.
