CHARLESTON — A man is suing Charleston Area Medical Center for injuries he sustained during a surgical procedure.
CAMC is doing business as CAMC Vascular Center for Excellence.
West Virginia University Board of Governors was also named as a defendant in the suit.
Bradley Miller was evaluated by Dr. Tamra Gay Aman and referred to a vascular surgeon, according to a complaint filed in Kanawha Circuit Court.
Miller claims he was evaluated by Dr. John Campbell at the CAMC Vascular Center for Excellence on Aug. 28, 2019, and diagnosed with right lower extremity pain and compartment syndrome. He was then referred to Dr. Stephen Hass for further evaluation, who then scheduled him for a surgical procedure on Nov. 5, 2019.
Miller claims he felt numbness and tingling in his foot and leg post-surgical procedure, which he has continued to feel despite other procedures.
Miller is seeking compensatory and punitive damages. He is represented by Robert B. Warner and David L. Shuman Jr. of Warner Law Offices.
The case is assigned to Circuit Judge Kenneth Ballard.
