PRINCETON — A couple is suing GrubHub alleging an employee of the delivery service hit their four-year-old who was riding her bike.

Michael D. King was also named as a defendant in the suit.

Finley Allen, through her parents, Devin Allen and Kylie Carpenter, filed the lawsuit against GrubHub and King after King negligently operated his 2004 Honda Pilot in a negligent fashion, according to a complaint filed in Mercer Circuit Court.

The parents claim King's negligence caused damages and injuries to their daughter and that GrubHub failed to determine that King was a safe driver and failed to ensure that the amount of liability insurance coverage available was sufficient.

The parents are seeking compensatory damages with pre- and post-judgment interest. They are represented by Anthony R. Veneri and Kenneth Chittum.

The case is assigned to Circuit Judge William Sadler.
