CHARLESTON — A woman is suing Best Buy Credit Services claiming its debt collection practices are unlawful.
Rosalyn Cary claims Best Buy repeatedly made harassing telephone calls to her regarding alleged debt and used extreme and profane language during one telephone conversation, according to a complaint filed in Kanawha Circuit Court.
Cary claims the defendant's conduct was harassing, oppressive, abusive, aggravative, annoying, and inconveniencing and the defendant knew or should have known that was how their conduct would be received.
Best Buy's conduct has caused Cary to suffer undue and unreasonable harassment, oppression, abuse, aggravation, annoyance and inconvenience, according to the suit.
Cary claims the defendant violated West Virginia code.
Cary is seeking compensatory damages. She is being represented by Michael M. Cary of Cary Law Office in Charleston.
The case is assigned to Circuit Judge Carrie Webster.
