Speedway

WINFIELD – A Putnam County woman blames Speedway after she slipped and fell on ice outside of the convenience store.

According to the complaint, Hoover was shopping at Speedway’s store in Winfield on February 18, 2021, when she was walking to the ice machine outside. As she did, she says she slipped and fell on a patch of ice on the concrete sidewalk just outside of the store.

She accuses the store of negligence. She say she suffered severe and permanent injuries, permanent disability, great pain and suffering, severe mental anguish and emotional distress. She also says she has incurred medical and other expenses, transportation costs, loss of time and enjoyment from customary leisure and recreational activities and permanent impairment.
