Cleaning service sues apartment complex for failure to pay for services

CHARLESTON — The owner of a cleaning company is suing Vista View Apartments alleging that it failed to pay her for her goods and services.

Miranda Lovejoy is doing business as Squeeky Kleen Cleaning Services.

Lovejoy, who operates her business in Nitro, claims she provided goods and services to Vista View in the amount of $8,324.12, according to a complaint filed in Kanawha Circuit Court.

Lovejoy claims to date, the defendant has not repaid the goods, funds or services provided, despite agreeing to do so.

The plaintiff is seeking compensatory damages in the amount of $8,324.12 with pre- and post-judgment interest, late charges, collection fees, attorney's fees and costs incurred due to the complaint. She is represented by Clinton W. Smith of Charleston.

The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Maryclaire Akers.
