On December 14, Arthur Bryant, BG partner and 2021 National Law Journal Sports Law Trailblazer, will speak at the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Annual Convention in Denver, CO, on “Using Title IX to Strengthen and Preserve Women’s and Men’s Programs.” Arthur and his co-counsel have successfully represented more female and male student-athletes than anyone in the country requiring schools to adhere to Title IX, the law prohibiting gender discrimination by institutions receiving federal funding. In the past two years alone, they have won settlements preserving women’s intercollegiate athletic opportunities and advancing gender equity at seven colleges and universities. He made legal history in April when he helped preserve the men’s indoor track & filed, outdoor track & field, and cross country teams at Clemson University by making it the first institution to face sex discrimination lawsuits from both its male and female student-athletes for violations of Title IX.
