Man says he was injured by faulty rocking chair at Lowe's

CHARLESTON – A South Charleston man says he was injured while visiting Lowe’s.

Jeremy Eren filed his complaint February 26 in Kanawha Circuit Court against Lowe’s Home Centers LLC.

According to the complaint, Eren was at the Lowe’s location in Cross Lanes on June 6, 2022, when he sat in a rocking chair on display. The chair broke, and he fell and injured himself.

He says the injuries were severe and permanent. He says he also has incurred medical expenses, pain and suffering of mind and body, loss of enjoyment of life and other impairments and disabilities.

Eren seeks compensatory damages, pre- and post-judgment interests and court costs. He is being represented by Charles M. Love IV of The Love Law Firm in Charleston. The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Jennifer Bailey.
