WINFIELD – A man says he was injured in the parking lot of a Putnam County grocery store.
Elton Patton filed a complaint in Putnam Circuit Court against Foodfair Inc., Forth's Foods Inc., Corey Development Corp. and M.C. Inc.
According to the complaint, Patton was at the Poca Foodfair on November 15, 2021, when he stepped on a clear piece of plastic that caused him to slip and fall onto the concrete sidewalk.
Patton accuses the defendants of negligence. He seeks compensatory damages, punitive damages, pre- and post-judgment interests, court costs, attorney fees and other relief.
He is being represented by Nathan Chill of Poca.
