CHARLETSON – A couple claims the mobile home they purchased was defective.

Bobby and Pamela Wolfe filed a complaint in Kanawha Circuit Court against Champion Home Builders and Charleston Home Center.

According to the complaint the Wolfes claim the home is defective both structurally and cosmetically, and they say it was not set up properly as it is unlevel and misaligned. Despite numerous complaints, the Wolfes allege the defendants have refused or been unable to address these issues.

In March 2023, following a windstorm, the plaintiffs discovered their entire roof and supporting structure were completely rotted. They claim this points to the use of poor quality materials and workmanship in the construction of their home.

The plaintiffs are being represented by Marvin Masters of the Masters Law Firm in Charleston. The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Carrie Webster.
