Bowles Rice LLP has elected and proudly announces seven new equity partners and three new non-equity partners, effective January 1, 2024. Their nominations were approved at the firm’s annual year-end partner meeting in December 2023.
The seven attorneys elected to equity partnership are:
- Roger G. Hanshaw, who concentrates his legal practice on energy, environmental litigation, and regulatory compliance matters. A certified professional parliamentarian, Hanshaw practices from the firm’s Charleston, West Virginia office.
- Richard R. Heath, Jr., who focuses his practice in the area of government relations as well as the hospitality, gaming, and tourism industry and the state's burgeoning renewable energy industry. Heath practices from the firm’s Charleston, West Virginia office.
- Charles R. Hughes, who practices in the areas of energy law, construction law, business law, commercial litigation, corporate transactions, and real estate law. Hughes works from the firm’s Charleston, West Virginia office.
- Kaitlyn N. McKitrick, an experienced litigator who focuses her practice on complicated insurance extra-contractual and bad faith litigation, as well as asbestos litigation. McKitrick works primarily from the firm’s Morgantown, West Virginia office.
- John F. Nobbs, who concentrates his practice on business and corporate matters and real estate law, including entity formation, corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, and commercial transactions. Nobbs works from the Southpointe, Pennsylvania office.
- Drew A. Proudfoot, who focuses his practice on corporate and financial services transactions, which includes commercial lending, mergers and acquisitions, and business succession planning. Proudfoot works from the firm’s Morgantown, West Virginia office.
- Patrick C. Timony, whose practice includes commercial litigation, construction litigation, insurance bad faith, and professional licenses disputes. Timony serves as Assistant General Counsel to the firm and works from the firm’s Charleston, West Virginia office.
- Lindsay M. Gainer, who focuses her practice primarily on labor and employment issues and related litigation. She has experience in pre-trial litigation and motion practice. Gainer works from the firm’s Charleston, West Virginia office.
- Joshua A. Lanham, whose practice includes commercial litigation, construction litigation, professional licensing disputes, will, trust, and estate litigation, bad faith litigation, and insurance defense. Lanham works from the firm’s Charleston, West Virginia office.
- Trey Morrone, who concentrates his practice on education law, municipal law, and governmental representation/administration, providing counsel to state boards of education and school districts. Morrone works from the firm’s Charleston, West Virginia office.
