HUNTINGTON – A UPS driver has sued Frontier and one its employees over injuries from a traffic accident.
Patrick E. Hedrick filed his complaint in Cabell Circuit Court against Frontier West Virginia Inc. and Charles Robert Spurlock.
According to the complaint, Hedrick was operating a UPS cargo van. While stopped at an intersection, he says he was struck from behind by a Frontier vehicle driven by Spurlock. He says Spurlock was operating the vehicle in a negligent manner.
Hedrick says he sustained severe bodily injuries, and he also claims the Frontier vehicle hadn't been properly maintained. In addition, he says the passenger compartment was obstructed with litter and other loose personal items making the vehicle unsafe.
He seeks compensatory damages for mental anguish, pain and suffering, medical expenses, household services, aggravation, annoyance, inconvenience, lost wages, lost earning capacity and loss of enjoyment of life. He also seeks punitive damages, pre- and post-judgment interests, attorney fees, court costs and other relief.
