WINFIELD – A Putnam County couple says Frontier and one of its contractors are responsible for issues with their sewer pump.

Adam and Skilyna Aleshire filed their complaint in Putnam Circuit Court against Frontier Communications and cable installer Gudenkauf.

According to the complaint, the issues resulted from Gudenkauf workers severing the power cord to their sewer grinder pump during installation of fiber optic internet cable and failing to inform them about it.

This led to a sewer backup into their home, causing significant damage and forcing them out of their residence for 34 days, according to the complaint.

The Aleshires are seeking compensatory damages for expenses incurred, repair costs, attorney fees and punitive damages from Gudenkauf for allegedly concealing the damage as well as damages for negligent hiring.

The couple is being represented by Richard J. Lindroth of Eleanor.
