CHARLESTON – A South Charleston couple blames FedEx and other associated corporations for property damage.

Robert and Kathy Edwards filed their complaint in Kanawha Circuit Court against Nola Trucking Inc., Pennco Transportation Inc., Federal Express Corporation and FedEx Ground Package System Inc.

According to the complaint, the FedEx driver had stopped to deliver packages to a home on the hil up the street from the Edwards' home on August 4, 2023, when the truck "recklessly careened" down the road and into their property, hitting their home and garage. The plaintiffs say the truck failed to stop once the driver left it to deliver the packages.

The plaintiffs are being represented by Shawn R. Romano and Miles B. Berger of Romano & Associates in Charleston. The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Tera Salango.
