Couple says Glasgow sewer issues damaged home

CHARLESTON – A Glasgow couple says sewer issues has caused significant damage to their property.

Stephen and Joyce Johnson filed their complaint in Kanawha Circuit Court against the Town of Glasgow.

The couple claims the town's public works department has been negligent in its duties. They say the department is responsible for sanitary sewer collection services, water services and related utility services. 

The Johnsons say this negligence has resulted in serious damage to the their real and personal property.

The plaintiffs seek compensatory damages.

They are being represented by Shawn R. Romano and Miles B. Berger of Romano & Associates in Charleston. The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Jennifer Bailey.
