Steptoe & Johnson PLLC is pleased to welcome Daniel A. Garcia as Of Counsel and Tiffany L. Spiker as an Associate in the firm’s Energy and Natural Resources Department. Garcia joins the Pittsburgh office while Spiker joins the Morgantown office, both positioned to support the firm’s sizeable energy practice in the region.
“We are pleased to welcome Daniel and Tiffany to our firm,” said Steptoe & Johnson CEO Christopher L. Slaughter. “They will work alongside our Energy and Natural Resources team and help to further grow the practice in southwestern Pennsylvania and north central West Virginia.”
Garcia brings more than a decade of energy regulatory experience to the firm, and primarily works with oil and gas producers, midstream companies, and utility clients on various regulatory matters before public service agencies, utility commissions, and Department of Transportation agencies. Throughout his career, Garcia has developed and implemented pipeline safety regulation compliance programs, as well as various transportation safety programs. He has frequently lectured on pipeline safety and infrastructure, as well as federal safety regulations, and has co-instructed multiple CLE programs relating to pipeline safety requirements. Garcia earned his law degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law and his bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University.
Spiker focuses her practice on mineral title and due diligence services. Her work in the legal field extends to her community where she served as a managing attorney to a nonprofit for children and teenagers. She also served as an assistant public defender in West Virginia. Spiker earned her law degree from West Virginia University College of Law and her bachelor’s degree from Duquesne University.
