CLARKSBURG — Two former employees filed a class action lawsuit suing Mylan Pharmaceuticals claiming it breached its contract with two sets of workers that it laid off in 2018 and in 2021.

CLARKSBURG – A former Morgantown-area landlord has filed an answer to a federal complaint contending his alleged sexual harassment victims were willing participants.
CLARKSBURG – A motion to consolidate six lawsuits involving a fatal cell tower collapse has been granted by District Judge Irene M. Keeley. The lawsuits, five of which were against SBA Communications Corp.; SBA Towers LLC; SBA Infrastructure LLC; SBA Network Services LLC; FDH Velocitel; FDH Engineering Inc.; FDH Innovation; and FDH Inc., all involve a cell tower collapse that occurred on Feb. 1, 2014, which ended with the deaths of at least two men.
CLARKSBURG – A motion for partial summary judgment has been filed in a lawsuit against West Virginia University by a former pharmacy student who claimed he was discriminated against due to his race and religion.
CLARKSBURG – The federal government is suing a convicted landlord after it claims he discriminated against tenants based on their sex. Brian Carl Walden, as conservator for Gary Walden, a protected person, and as administrator CTA of the estate of Tina Walden; Walden Homes LLC, which is doing business as Walden Rentals; and 973 Chestnut Ridge Road Inc. were also named as defendants in the suit.
CLARKSBURG – A man is suing Omega Laboratories Inc. after he claims it falsely reported his drug test results and caused him to lose his job. Shawn Michael Marsh was employed by Wyoming Casing Services and was subjected to drug testing every three months, according to a complaint filed Jan. 12 in Harrison Circuit Court and removed to federal court on Feb. 12.
CLARKSBURG – A man is suing Eastern Associated Coal LLC after he claims it discriminated against him because of his age. Henry Metz was employed by Martinka/Tygart River Mine and was laid off when it was closed in 1995, according to a complaint filed Nov. 23 in Monongalia Circuit Court and removed to federal court on Dec. 21. An amended complaint was filed on Jan. 7.
CLARKSBURG – Two lawsuits have been filed against the United States Postal Service for injuries sustained from a car accident. The United States and Christopher Alan Parrotta also were named as defendants in the suit. On Dec. 18, 2013, the defendants were the owner of a postal vehicle being driven by Parrotta, who was employed as a postal worker, according to two complaints filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of West Virginia.
