Callaghan CHARLESTON - The former chairman of the West Virginia Democratic Party is suing the secretary of state and members of the State Election Commission in federal court, saying the matching funds provision of the Supreme Court's public campaign financing pilot program is unconstitutional.

Rowe CHARLESTON -- State Supreme Court candidate Jim Rowe has been given an award for his advocacy on behalf of children and families during Children's Memorial Flag Day ceremonies in Lewisburg last week.
Chafin CHARLESTON -– The West Virginia State United Auto Workers Community Action Program (C.A.P.) Council and the United Auto Workers Local Union 1590 have endorsed Tish Chafin for the state Supreme Court of Appeals.
Davis CHARLESTON – The West Virginia State Chamber of Commerce and the West Virginia Business & Industry Council have announced their organizations have endorsed Justice Robin Jean Davis for re-election to the Supreme Court.
Chafin CHARLESTON – Tish Chafin's proposed recusal rules changes for state Supreme Court justices don't seem to have much support among her fellow candidates.
Loughry CHARLESTON – Allen Loughry's resume for the state Supreme Court is impressive. The Tucker County native has four law degrees. He's worked in all three branches of government, including the last nine years as a judicial law clerk at the state Supreme Court. He also wrote a book detailing West Virginia's history of political corruption titled "Don't Buy Another Vote, I Won't Pay for a Landslide."
MORGANTOWN -– The West Virginia Supreme Court of Appeals will hear four cases on a Rule 20 Argument Docket and judge the annual George C. Baker Cup moot court competition on March 6 at the West Virginia University College of Law in Morgantown.
