CHARLESTON – A Charleston attorney is continuing his efforts to help the family and law enforcement community in the wake of a Charleston Police officer’s death earlier this month in the line of duty. And, he also is trying to help the family of a Putnam County man who died in the explosion at a Belle chemical plan earlier this month.

CHARLESTON – A Kanawha County woman says a dog her family picked up at the Kanawha-Charleston Humane Association attacked her on Christmas morning, ripping off part of her lower lip and part of her gums and causing her to lose several teeth.

CHARLESTON – A Charleston law firm seems to be making a Christmas tradition of helping dogs find homes. A week before Christmas, The West Law Firm sponsored the adoption of 24 dogs at the Kanawha-Charleston Humane Association.

CHARLESTON – A woman who had already multiple lawsuits in the wake of having two dozen animals seized from her Charleston home earlier this summer has filed another complaint. Amanda Dawn Woods filed her latest injunction request in Kanawha Circuit Court against the Kanawha-Charleston Humane Association, which is named in all of her previous actions. In her filing, Woods says the defendant has, since June, released two false news stories resulting in her being harassed by the general public.

CHARLESTON – A woman who had two dozen animals seized from her Charleston home earlier this summer has filed nearly a dozen lawsuits in wake of the incident. Amanda Dawn Woods filed her first lawsuit in June, two weeks after the animals – some of which already were dead – were taken from her West Side home.
