HUNTINGTON – A woman is suing a Huntington man she claims is responsible for her father's death.

On Jan. 19, 2014, Jeffrey Faucette was operating a 2008 Honda Accord and caused it to collide with Donald E. Flynn, who was a pedestrian, according to a complaint filed in Cabell Circuit Court.

Barbie Flynn claims Faucette's negligence caused her father to be seriously and severely injured and caused him great pain and suffering until his death.

Donald Flynn was required to undergo painful and extensive medical care and treatment and incurred medical bills and expenses attendant to his injuries and, ultimately, his death, according to the suit.

Barbie Flynn claims she suffered sorrow, grief, mental anguish, loss of solace, loss of society, loss of companionship, loss of comfort, loss of guidance, loss of kindly officers, loss of advice from the deceased, and loss of services, support, protection, care and assistance.

Barbie Flynn is seeking compensatory and punitive damages. She is being represented by Jason A. Leasure and Matthew R. Oliver of Vital & Vital LC.

The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Christopher D. Chiles.
