Woman blames Camden Park for injuries

HUNTINGTON – A woman is suing Camden Park for injuries she sustained after exiting a ride at the amusement park.

On May 22, 2013, Kristy Preece was a patron at Camden Park and had just ridden the Pirate Ship with her daughter and was attempting to exit the ride, according to a complaint filed in Cabell Circuit Court.

Preece claims when she stepped onto the first step and was going to step down onto the dock, she fell and landed on her back and fractured her left ankle

As a result of the defendant's negligence, she was caused to suffer bodily injury and because of the bodily injury she sustained, she suffered pain, suffering, mental anguish and inconvenience.

Preece is seeking compensatory damages with pre-judgment interest. She is being represented by Jeffrey S. Simpkins.

The case is assigned to Circuit Judge Christopher D. Chiles.
