CHARLESTON - A bar owner faces suit for refusing to pay the bill on video machines.
Viking Video & Music Inc. filed suit May 29 in Kanawha Circuit Court against John P. Naylor, also known as Pat Naylor, and Pat's Bar and Grill LLC.
According to the complaint, Viking Video has leased video lottery machines for two West Virginia establishments owned by the defendants. The defendants owe a portion of lottery proceeds from those machines in the amount of $2,849, as of May 23. The plaintiff is also owed $4,603 to cover three bad checks the defendant wrote the plaintiff between July 23 and Oct. 29, the suit states. The total amount owed by the defendants is $7,452, which they have refused to pay.
The plaintiff is seeking damages in the amount of $7,452, pre and post-judgement interest, plus costs.
It is being represented by Charleston attorney Dennis O. Kerns of Ciccarello, Del Guidice & Lafon. The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge James C. Stucky.
