Logan Co. man blames office supply company, driver for accident

LOGAN -- A Logan County man says injuries he sustained in a car accident are due to the negligence of another driver.

James R. Lee II filed a suit July 22 in Logan Circuit Court against Eddie McFarland and Ashland Office Supply.

Lee says on Aug. 8, 2012, both he and McFarland were traveling southbound on U.S. 119 in Holden. The plaintiff claims he was stopped when McFarland’s vehicle struck his vehicle from behind, causing Lee to be injured.

The lawsuit says as the other driver in this crash, McFarland was negligent in exceeding a safe speed in approaching Lee’s stopped vehicle and by willfully and recklessly striking Lee’s vehicle.

As a result of the crash, Lee has incurred and expects to incur medical expenses and has suffered pain, physical limitations and diminished capacity to enjoy life. He has also suffered economic losses, the suit states.

Lee seeks compensatory damages, pre- and post-judgment interest, attorney ‘s fees and expenses.

James R. Lee II is represented by Farmer, Cline & Campbell PLLC of Charleston. The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Roger L. Perry.
