BECKLEY – A Raleigh County woman is suing over claims a store refuses to honor a warranty on a high-definition television.

Diane Flint filed a lawsuit July 8 in Raleigh Circuit Court against Big Sandy Furniture Inc., citing breach of warranty.

According to the complaint, White purchased a Mitsubishi HD TV from the defendant Dec. 6, 2011, with a manufacturer's and extended warranty. Flint says she has experienced problems with the product and timely filed claims, but the defendant has failed to honor the extended warranty.

The defendant is accused of violating the West Virginia Consumer Credit Protection Act.

Flint is seeking statutory and compensatory damages, plus costs.

She is being represented in the case by attorney Greg A. Hewitt of Hewitt & Salvatore in Beckley. The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Robert A. Burnside.
