Man seeks payment of wages after he resigned

Paycheck

CHARLESTON – A man has filed suit against his former employer, saying he was not paid his due wages when he resigned.

Jonathan Teel alleges he worked for defendants TLH Foods and Timothy Hopkins from early 2014 until he quit on June 20.

Since then, however, Teel has not been timely paid all money he is owed, according to the complaint filed Aug. 22 in Kanawha Circuit Court.

In his complaint, Teel is seeking liquidated damages, plus costs, attorney fees and other relief the court deems just.

Mark L. French and Matthew S. Criswell of Criswell French in Charleston will represent him.

Circuit Judge Tod J. Kaufman has been assigned to the case.
