Rental car company named in accident suit

Enterprise

POINT PLEASANT – A Mason County woman is suing over claims she was injured in a collision with a rental car.

Andrea Snyder filed a lawsuit Oct. 1 in Mason Circuit Court against Roody Muracin and Ean Holdings, doing business as Enterprise Rent-A-Car, citing negligence.

According to the complaint, Snyder was driving south on W.Va. Route 62 near Arbuckle on Oct. 3, 2012, when she rounded a curve and noticed a northbound semi truck partially driving her lane. Snyder says she drove to the right and slowed down to avoid hitting the truck but was struck from behind by an Enterprise rental vehicle being driven by Muracin, an Ohio resident.

Snyder says she sustained injuries, and Muracin is accused of willful and wanton conduct and negligence in driving too fast and closely to the car in front of him. Enterprise Rent-A-Car is accused of willful and wanton conduct in entrusting a vehicle to a non-qualified driver.

Snyder seeks compensatory and punitive damages, interest and attorney fees.

She is represented by attorney Samuel F. Hanna of Hanna and Hanna in Charleston.
