Man says Chevy Suburban is a lemon

Lemonlaw

BECKLEY – A Raleigh County man is suing over claims his new Chevrolet Suburban is faulty.

Greg A. Hewitt filed a lawsuit Oct. 7 in Raleigh Circuit Court against General Motors, citing the Lemon Law.

According to the complaint, Hewitt purchased a new Chevrolet Suburban from an authorized dealer on Sept. 19, 2013, and soon experienced repeated noncomformities with the motor vehicle warranty that impaired his use of the vehicle and are thought to be life-threatening. Hewitt says the defendant has failed to make the vehicle conform to warranty despite repeated attempts to do so, and he has has incurred expenses for replacement transportation.

Hewitt seeks a refund of the purchase price, costs of repairs, damages for loss of use and attorney fees.

He is represented by attorney Anthony M. Salvatore of Hewitt and Salvatore in Fayetteville.
