TIMOTHY R. LINKOUS will serve as member in charge of the new Morgantown office of Shuman, McCuskey & Slicer PLLC.

Linkous focuses his practice on civil litigation defense including medical malpractice, insurance bad faith, nursing home negligence, hospital liability, product liability, appellate practices and other forms of civil litigation.

A 1997 Cum Laude graduate from Denison University, Linkous earned a Bachelor of Arts in Education and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. He earned his law degree from West Virginia University College of Law in 2000 and was a member of the West Virginia Moot Court Board.

Linkous was admitted to the West Virginia State Bar in 2000 and is admitted to practice in the United States District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of West Virginia.

He holds memberships in the West Virginia State Bar Association, the American Bar Association and the American Trial Lawyers Association.

Linkous and his wife, Kendra, have three children, Tyler, Reagan and Harrison.

CHRISTOPHER D. NEGLEY has joined Shuman, McCuskey & Slicer PLLC.

Negley has practice history in state and federal regulatory law involving surface mining, oil and gas development and the Clean Water Act as well as in the areas of bankruptcy and workers' compensation.

He has represented clients before the West Virginia Supreme Court of Appeals, the United States District Courts in West Virginia, the Surface Mine and Environmental Quality Boards, the Workers' Compensation Office of Judges and Board of Review and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.

Negley received a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from West Virginia University in 1988 and graduated from the West Virginia University School of Law in 1992. He was admitted to practice before the West Virginia State Bar in 1992 and before the United States Supreme Court in 1999.

HEATHER B. LORD has joined Shuman, McCuskey & Slicer PLLC.

Lord was admitted to the West Virginia State Bar in 2002 and also is admitted to practice before the United States District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of West Virginia.

Her practice concentrates on insurance defense, product liability/personal injury, insurance coverage analysis and professional malpractice litigation, including defending the interests of insurance agents with respect to errors and omissions claims.

Lord is a 1999 graduate of Marshall University where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism. In 2002, she earned her law degree from the University of Dayton School of Law where she was a member of the Moot Court team.

JASON E. WANDLING has joined Shuman, McCuskey & Slicer PLLC.

Wandling focuses on mass tort environmental litigation, toxic torts and general insurance defense.

He is a 1999 graduate of West Virginia University, where he majored in English and Philosophy. During law school at West Virginia University, he was selected as Best Oral Advocate and overall Runner-Up in the 2001 Baker Moot Court Competition. After serving on the national Moot Court team, he was admitted to the Order of the Barristers.

Wandling is admitted to practice before West Virginia state and federal courts and is a member of the Oregon and Washington, D.C., bars.
