New Web site links to statewide headlines

CHARLESTON -- WVNewsline.com has launched its statewide news headline service.

The free service provides visitors with a view of most every West Virginia news headline published online. The site is updated houry so visitors can scan news headlines statewide and click to directly visit the news content provider's Web site and read the full story.

The experience is similar to the news search features of Yahoo or Google, but has a convenient one-page aggregation and presentation of nearly every state news source.

The company has started with West Virginia and plans to extend service nationwide to all 50 states.

The site also has two paid features available.

For $75, any user of the site can pay to have a press release distributed to more than 200 media and press contacts in West Virginia. The site will send its media/news partners both a fax and an e0mail of the press release.

In addition, the site publish the release online, along with all the other PR Newswire press releases for West Virginia.

The site's clipping services also will allow anyone to monitor news headlines and receive daily e-mails when keywords of interest are published.
