CHARLESTON -- Fibernet LLC has announced that Virgil Parsons, president of the company since its inception, has elected to retire from full-time management effective Jan. 1, 2007.
David Armentrout will become president in charge of day-to-day day operations, and Parsons will remain as an adviser to FiberNet and its parent, One Communications Corp.
Armentrout has been a vice president of Fibernet since 2001 and has managed the company's network build-out and management while also overseeing the engineering and operations teams. Like Parsons, Armentrout is a West Virginia native and is one of the original FiberNet start-up team members from 1999.
