Capehart
WEST LIBERTY - A Marshall University professor has been chosen as the 32nd president of West Liberty State College.
Robin Capehart, an associate professor and director of tax studies at Marshall, was selected out of more than 60 applicants to lead the college.
If confirmed by the West Virginia Higher Education Policy Commission, Capehart would begin his duties on July 1.
John McCullough is the current interim president, serving since fall of 2005, when Richard Owens resigned.
Capehart earned a bachelor of science degree from West Virginia University and a master's degree in law in taxation from Georgetown University.
West Liberty is a four-year college, founded in 1837. It currently has about 2,300 students.
