Hampton Inn, Southridge Centre

CHARLESTON – A Logan County woman is suing the Hampton Inn, Southridge Centre after she claims she slipped in the lobby of the hotel and injured her knee.

Rebecca Johnson and husband Jerry Johnson temporarily were living at the Hampton Inn, just off U.S. 119 in the spring after their home had been damaged by flooding.

In the suit filed in Kanawha Circuit Court, Rebecca Johnson says she slipped in the lobby on April 10, 2005, on a substances believed to be either juice or water. She fell to the floor and was injured, she says. She claims Hospitality Ventures LLC, doing business as the Hampton Inn, was negligent.

In the suit filed by Larry Ford of Meyer & Ford, Johnson sustained various injuries, including an acute meniscal tear to her left knee.

Her husband is suing because of the lost services, support and consortium of his wife.
