Woman sues Southridge Grand Prix and Family Fun Center for daughter's injuries

CHARLESTON – A woman is suing Southridge Grant Prix and Family Fun Center after her daughter was injured while riding go-carts.

On May 1, 2009, Nevaeh Miller was attempting to exit a go-cart she had been riding in when another go-cart collided with her and her go-cart, according to a complaint filed April 29 in Kanawha Circuit Court.

Kelly Watson, Miller's mother, claims the employee assigned to operate and control the go-cart area was inattentive and failed to properly direct other children operating go-carts in order to prevent injuries.

The defendant's negligence caused Miller severe and permanent injuries that have caused her to suffer a loss of the ability to carry out her normal daily activities and to enjoy life in general, according to the suit.

Watson is seeking compensatory damages with pre- and post-judgment interest. She is being represented by Larry L. Rowe.

The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Louis H. Bloom.
