CLARKSBURG - A Harrison County magistrate has been arrested for allegedly battering her office assistant.
Brenda Anselene was arraigned Sept. 22 before Magistrate Tammy Marple on charges that she pushed her assistant 10 days earlier.
Her assistant alleges that Anselene yelled at her and grabbed her shoulders before pushing her into a chair. She says she then shook papers in her face and screamed at her not to move.
Det. Dave Wygal of the Clarksburg police reportedly said the incident began over faxing a document to a jail.
Anselene is free on $3,000 bond. She was charged with misdemeanor battery.
