WEIRTON - A Weirton woman who recently passed the Bar exam won $100,000 on NBC game show "Deal or No Deal."
Marcy Cicchirillo, 29, works for Bailey and Wyant in Wheeling. She passed the exam in July after graduating from Duquesne University's law school and is the daughter of state Department of Motor Vehicles Commissioner Joseph Cicchirillo.
On Sept. 19, she text-messaged the show, which invites home viewers to guess which suitcase contains a sum of money.
After sending in her guess, she was called by a show official who notified her she was a finalist. At the end of the show, her name and hometown was displayed on the screen as the winner.
The show's usual jackpot is $10,000, but was increased for the season premiere.
Cicchirillo reportedly said she sent 10 messages to the show. Each one cost 99 cents but were well worth it.
