CHARLESTON -- Al Emch, CEO of Jackson Kelly PLLC, has announced 13 membership changes at the firm.
Marcia Broughton, Christina Brumley, Pete Hoffman, Karen Johnston, Hank Moore, Chris Robertson and Melissa Robinson have been elected to equity members, meaning they now have ownership stake in the firm.
Whitney Clegg, Steve Condaras, Ashley Harman, Amber Hoback, April Min, and Ken Tawney have been elected as members.
Equity members
Broughton practices in the firm's Estate and Trust group in Clarksburg. She graduated from West Virginia University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and majored in Accounting. She received her J.D. from West Virginia University College of Law, and her LLM in Taxation from Georgetown University Name Law Center.
Brumley practices in the firm's Business Law Department in the Charleston office. She received her B.S. in Business Administration, with a concentration in Finance, from West Virginia University's College of Business and Economics, summa cum laude. She received her J.D. from West Virginia University's College of Law, where she was an issues editor of the West Virginia Law Review. She is admitted to the Supreme Court of Appeals of West Virginia, the United States District Court for the Southern District of West Virginia and the Supreme Court of the United States.
Hoffman's practice centers on Criminal Litigation and White Collar Criminal Defense in the firm's Martinsburg and Washington, D.C., offices. He received both his B.A. and J.D. from West Virginia University. Prior to entering private practice, Hoffman was Deputy Chief of the Criminal Fraud Section of the United States Department of Justice. He also served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of West Virginia and as an Assistant Attorney General of the State of West Virginia.
Johnston's practice is focused on Occupational Safety and Health in the firm's Denver office. She is a graduate of the University of Denver where she received her B.A. degree, cum laude. She earned her J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania. She is licensed to practice law in the States of Colorado and Pennsylvania, and is admitted to practice before the United States District Court in Colorado and the United States Courts of Appeals for the District of Columbia and Tenth Circuits.
Moore practices in the firm's nationwide Occupational Safety and Health group and is resident in the Pittsburgh office. He is a graduate of the Dickinson School of Law and received his undergraduate of Dartmouth College. He is admitted to practice before the Pennsylvania Supreme Court, the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania, and the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Third, Fourth, Sixth, Seventh, Ninth and District of Columbia Circuits.
Robertson practices Labor and Employment law in the firm's Martinsburg office. He received his law degree from Washington and Lee University School of Law where he graduated cum laude and was a member of the school's National Moot Court Team.
Robinson is resident in the firm's Charleston office where her practice is concentrated in the area of Workers' Compensation. She received a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from West Virginia University; thereafter, she received her Doctor of Jurisprudence from the West Virginia University College of Law, graduating Order of the Barristers.

Clegg practices in both the New Martinsville and Wheeling locations. Her practice focuses on defending business and individual clients in Civil Litigation. She attended West Virginia University and graduated magna cum laude with a degree in Finance. She received her J.D. from the West Virginia University College of Law, where she was a member of the Moot Court Board and graduated Order of the Coif. She is a member of the West Virginia State Bar Association and is admitted to practice in all state courts within West Virginia and Ohio, and in the Northern and Southern District Courts of West Virginia.
Condaras practices in the firm's Business and Commercial Law Department in the Charleston office. He is a graduate of Virginia Tech, where he received a B.S. in Accounting. He earned his J.D. degree from the West Virginia University College of Law and is admitted to the Supreme Court of Appeals of West Virginia and the United States District Court for the Southern District of West Virginia.
Harman practices in the firm's Federal Black Lung Department in the Morgantown office. She is a graduate of West Virginia University's College of Arts and Sciences where she received her B.A. cum laude and a graduate of the West Virginia University College of Law where she received her J.D. Harman has been admitted to the West Virginia State Bar and to the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.
Hoback practices in the firm's Litigation Department in the Charleston office. She is a graduate of Marshall University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree and a Master's Degree. She earned a Doctor of Jurisprudence from the West Virginia University College of Law. She has been admitted to the Supreme Court of Appeals of West Virginia and the United States District Court for both the Southern and Northern Districts of West Virginia.
Min is resident in the firm's Washington, D.C., office, having spent the first five years of her tenure in the Morgantown office. Her practice focuses in litigation and Government Contracts. Min is a graduate of West Virginia University, where she received her bachelor's degree in Music. She went on to receive her J.D. at the West Virginia University College of Law, where she was inducted into the Order of Barristers. Min has been admitted to practice before the West Virginia Supreme Court of Appeals, the District of Columbia Court of Appeals, the United States District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of West Virginia, and the District of Columbia, and the United States Court of Federal Claims. Min is also a member of the West Virginia State Bar, the District of Columbia Bar, the American Bar Association, and the Defense Research Institute.
Tawney practices in the firm's Business Law Department in the Charleston office. His practice is centered on oil and gas work and commercial litigation. Tawney has been admitted to practice before the West Virginia state and federal courts and the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Third, Sixth and D.C. Circuits. Tawney is a member of the West Virginia State Bar Association, the Kanawha County Bar Association, the Energy Bar Association and the Energy and Mineral Law Foundation.
