PERSONNEL FILE: UC names Carr executive assistant, general counsel

CHARLESTON - A Charleston attorney has been named as the new executive assistant to the president and general counsel at the University of Charleston.

Kevin Carr, formerly of the law firm Spilman, Thomas and Battle, was named to the position on Wednesday. He will start at the university on April 23.

In his new position, Carr will manage institutional projects, direct human resources and intercollegiate athletics operations, oversee institutional research and provide general counsel.

Carr is a native of Lewisburg and has been working with the law firm since 1995. He is a graduate of West Virginia University.

Carr is married to his wife, Rachel, and they have four children.
