MORGANTOWN -- Timothy P. Stranko has joined the Business Department of Steptoe & Johnson practicing in the firm's Morgantown office.
Stranko will focus his practice in the areas of utility and environmental law. He received his legal education from the University of Pittsburgh and is also a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point.
Stranko formerly served as general counsel for the Morgantown Utility Board. He is a founding director and officer of the West Virginia Municipal Water Quality Association and a director of the West Virginia Rural Water Association.
He is the past president of the United Way of Monongalia and Preston Counties, Director of the Friends of Deckers Creek, a member of the Morgantown Planning Commission and a past public member of the West Virginia Infrastructure and Jobs Development Council.
Steptoe & Johnson has more than 170 lawyers and a support staff of more than 200 working in seven offices throughout West Virginia and Ohio.
