CHARLESTON -- Lucien G. Lewin, a member in the law firm of Steptoe & Johnson, has been named Foundation Fellow by the West Virginia Bar Foundation.
The Fellows Program recognizes outstanding leaders of the legal profession and justice system in West Virginia. Those lawyers whose professional, public and private careers have demonstrated outstanding dedication to the welfare of their communities and honorable service to the legal profession with the individuals selected reflecting the diverse nature of the legal profession in West Virginia are eligible for the award.
For more than thirty years, Lewin has practiced law in the eastern panhandle of West Virginia. His focus for the past 10 years has been in the area of general litigation, insurance defense and products liability litigation.
Lewin has tried over 100 jury and non-jury cases and is a member of the West Virginia State Bar, American Bar Association, the Defense Research Institute and the Defense Trial Counsel of West Virginia, where he served for two terms as a member of the Board of Governors.
Lewin is the founder and former chairman of the Public Defender Corporation for the 23rd & 31st Judicial Districts and is past president of the Berkeley County Bar Association.
