Brown
CLARKSBURG -- Steptoe and Johnson has expanded its client services team in its Charleston office with the addition of Kathryn E. Brown.
Brown joined the firm as a Communication Specialist, serving as an in-house writer and editor of collateral materials and publications. Brown will also assist the client services team by providing employee training and professional coaching. Brown will work closely with Client Services Specialist Kate McCoy, who will continue to provide client services support to the growing Charleston office.
During her career, Brown has written in a number of corporate and creative fields, including medical, higher education, and broadcast news. Once a host and producer of television talk shows, she moved into marketing and public relations in the mid 1990s, which expanded her technical writing skills and industry expertise. Brown is a frequent columnist in many business magazines and trade newspapers (including The West Virginia Record), and she was recognized by the publishers of a regional publication as a leader in her field.
Brown returns to the legal marketing sector after spending the past four years at home with her children. During this time, she opened a professional writing agency, The Write Word LLC, which she will continue to manage in addition to her duties at Steptoe and Johnson.
