* Clinton claims that she started receiving phone calls from NCO Financial Systems acting as an agent for Wal-Mart Stores Inc. d/b/a Sam's Club at the rate of five or more a day to collect a debt. Clinton said she supplied the caller with her lawyer's information, but the calls continued from August 2006 to December 2006. Clinton said she felt harassed. From Wal-Mart Stores d/b/a Sam's Club she is seeking statutory damages of $100 to $1,000 for each violation as adjusted for inflation; actual damages of $10,000 for each incident; cancellation of the debt as well as an injunction to prohibit Wal Mart to contact her in the future. She is also seeking an injunction to prevent a negative credit report information. She is seeking the same from NCO Financial.

A.E.R. Construction Inc. v. Waynesboro Construction Co. Inc.

* Waynesboro entered into an agreement on Feb. 16, 2006, with the Jefferson County Board of Education to act as general contractor for the building of South Jefferson High School in Charles Town. In connection with the contract, Travelers Casualty & Surety Co. furnished a payment bond for the protection of all persons supplying labor on the project. A.E.R. Has filed suit against Travelers in accordance with its rights under the payment bond. Travelers has made a demand that A.E.R. Initiate the suit against Waynesboro. A.E.R. disagrees, but in order to recover monies due in the project has done so. Waynesboro hired A.E.R. to provide drilled piers and concrete caissons for the project. A.E.R.'s bid was $365,000. Waynesboro increased the bid to $400,000. Once work started, A.E.R. discovered that the work was different than discussed. A new contract was entered into and Waynesboro asked invoices be submitted weekly. Waynesboro has failed to pay A.E.R. for the amount owed of $664,913.77.

* On June 6, 2005, Rebuilder purchased advertising from Business Briefings for $35,625. A payment schedule was set with the first payment to begin on July 6, 2005, for $11, 875 and the last payment in the same amount to be at the end of October. Business was provided, but payment was never made. Business Briefings is seeking $35,625 with 10 per annum since Aug. 6, 2005, for services provided.
