Beatrice Caplan and Melvin Caplan v. PNGI Charles Town Gaming LLC

* On Sept. 16, 2006, the Caplans were patrons of Charles Town Races & Slots. Melvin Caplan is blind and his wife drove to the location. Beatrice Caplan was sitting in one of the seats when it gave way and broke, causing her to be hospitalized for her injuries. She has not been able to return home to live independently. She claims PNGI was negligent and her physical injury has caused her injury to her marital relationship. She is seeking compensatory and punitive damages according to proof, plus costs, pre- and post-judgment interest and reasonable attorney fees.

William C. Silks v. V. T. Gonzalez Trucking

* Silks was injured when the dump truck driven by Andres V. Gonzalez-Rivera hit a vehicle driven by Deborah A. Lancaster, which in turn hit the vehicle driven by Silks. Because of the injuries, Silks claims to have incurred medical care expenses as well has lost earnings. He is seeking an amount sufficient to compensate him for the injuries he sustained, pre-judgment interest on all items of ascertainable pecuniary loss up to the date of the trial, post-judgment interest and attorney fees.

Citicaptial Commercial Corporation v. Richard Ring Jr. fbda RL Ring Excavating
PA-Stephen Higgins; J-Thomas Steptoe Jr.
* Ring entered into two contracts with Citicaptial for several pieces of construction equipment including a Bobcat Skid Steer Loader, Bobcat Grapple 78 IN Fork and a Bobcat Track Loader T200. One contract stipulated that Ring pay a total sum of $73,311.84 in monthly installments. A second contract was for a total sum of $6,588.48 that would be paid in monthly installments. Ring failed to make all the payments and Citicaptial is seeking its
equipment.

Jody Shewbridge v. S&N Communications Inc., Deborah Kaye Mercardo
PA-Paul Taylor; J-Thomas Steptoe Jr.
* Shewbridge's vehicle was hit when Mercardo, driving a car owned by S&N, failed to yield right of way. Shewbridge was injured in the accident and has incurred medical expenses. She is seeking a judgment that will not exceed $75,000.
