* Kohl claims the defendant was negligent when she was shopping in the Martinsburg Wal-Mart on Nov. 5, 2005, when she tripped and fell over an empty pallet and injured her knees. She claims the store's management should have known about the hazard, and she is seeking damages to be determined in a jury trial.

Donald Soward vs. Joseph Parker

* Soward claims his neighbor, Parker, has threatened and blackmailed him for several years, causing emotional distress. Soward is seeking $150,000 and a restraining order, as well as other relief. Parker's counterclaim denies all accusations and claims that Soward has been stalking him since 1997. Parker also claims he is being forced to move because of Soward, and the defendant is also seeking $150,000.

* The plaintiff claims the defendants prepared an unusual sublease agreement for a hangar that was fraudulent and violated rules of professional conduct for a number of reasons, including a claim that Keller had a conflict of interest by representing all parties involved, including Cardinal Air, the Airport Authority and Aero-Smith. The plaintiff is seeking that the sublease be declared void and other relief.
