CINCINNATI -– George H. Vincent assumes the leadership of Dinsmore & Shohl, completing a planned management transition on the brink of the firm's 100th anniversary.

Vincent succeeds Clifford A. Roe Jr., who served as managing partner and chairman of the board of directors for the past 11 years. Roe will continue his practice of corporate law as a senior partner with the firm.

"Dinsmore & Shohl has grown under Cliff's leadership, becoming one of the largest firms in the Midwest with the addition of offices in five cities and a corresponding increase in the range of legal services offered," Vincent said. "We look forward to building on his exemplary record."

Vincent joined Dinsmore & Shohl in 1982 as an associate in the Corporate Department. His practice includes general business and corporate law with an emphasis on corporate counseling, mergers and acquisitions and federal and state securities law. He also serves as chair of the firm's finance committee. Vincent is listed in The Best Lawyers in America, selected for the BTI Client Service All-Star Team for Law Firms, selected as one of Ohio's top Corporate/M&A attorneys in 2007 by Chambers USA Guide to America's Leading Business Lawyers and listed as one of Ohio's top 100 attorneys by Ohio Super Lawyers.

"The firm couldn't be in better hands," said Roe, who joined Dinsmore & Shohl in 1967. "George brings to this leadership role extensive experience and a commitment – to the firm, our clients and the communities that we serve."

Dinsmore & Shohl LLP marks its 100th anniversary in 2008, celebrating a legacy of client service forged by founding partners Frank Dinsmore and Judge Walter Shohl. The firm is one of the largest full-service law firms in the Midwest and provides a broad range of integrated services to meet the needs of both large and small businesses, as well as institutions, associations, governments, professional firms and individuals.

Dinsmore & Shohl is comprised of more than 320 attorneys practicing in nine offices in Ohio, Kentucky Pennsylvania and West Virginia.
