* Campbell and Conn entered into an oral agreement with the Heathes to train two horses. In exchange, Campbell and Conn understood they would be paid $30 each horse plus expenses such as blacksmithing. As of Dec. 1, 2007, Campbell and Conn have yet to be paid. They claim they are owed $21,370, plus $60 a day per day since Dec. 1, 2007.

* Ramonas was admitted to Jefferson Memorial's emergency room on Sept. 19, 2005, for injuries in an automobile accident. He was treated by Cook and other employees of Jefferson Memorial. Cook ordered x-rays of Romanas that were read by Ammersman. Ramonas claims the x-rays were misread and instead of being normal, he actually had fractures to the sacrum and injury to the kidney. He was discharged. Ramonas claims that because of the misdiagnosis he suffered renal failure. He is seeking $1 million in compensatory damages.

James Waters v. Recreational Adventures Campgrounds LLC, Harpers Ferry KOA

* While on the KOA campgrounds on Feb. 16, 2007, Waters claims he was injured as "a direct and proximate result" of KOA's negligence. He claims he suffered permanent injuries and has physical pain, emotional distress, mental anguish and loss of the capacity to enjoy life. He has incurred medical and related expenses in excess of $10,000 and expects to incur more. He has also lost $20,000 in income to date. He is seeking compensatory damages.

* On Jan. 28, 2007, Pugh was a passenger in a car that was hit by another vehicle driven by Hitcock. She claims to have suffered and continues to suffer injuries both emotional and physical. She has already incurred more than $20,000 in medical expenses and expects to incur more. She is seeking compensatory damages.

Deborah R. B. v. Barbara W.K.

* Deborah is seeking an uncontested declatory judgment for termination of the civil union between her and Barbara. The two were issued a civil union on April 24, 2001, by the State of Vermont. The State of West Virginia is to terminate the union because neither are residents of Vermont. They attempted to dissolve their civil union through the Family Court of Jefferson County, but were denied because the court maintained it was not authorized.
