Walker, Workman to speak at women's council lunch

CHARLESTON -- Beth Walker and Margaret Workman, the two female candidates for the West Virginia Supreme Court, will be the featured speakers at the Charleston Area Alliance Professional Women's Council luncheon, to be held March 19 at Edgewood Country Club.

Both will address the topic of judicial independence.
The Professional Women's Council hosts bi-monthly luncheons and other events featuring prominent speakers who bring attendees up-to-date on critical issues impacting our community, and provides a forum for women to enhance connections and access to business, civic, cultural and educational opportunities in the region. Professional Women's Council Events are open to the public.

The event will begin with a reception at 11:45 a.m.; lunch will be served at noon.

Reservations are $25 for Alliance members and $35 for non-members through March 14. Prices will increase to $35 for Alliance members and $45 for non-members for reservations received after March 14.
