CHARLESTON -- John H. Tinney recently obtained Sustaining Life Fellow status with The Fellows of the American Bar Foundation.
The ABF has been setting the standard for innovative, objective, independent research on law, legal institutions and legal processes for over 50 years.
The Fellows are committed to supporting the research program of the American Bar Foundation. The object of the Foundation is to advance justice through research on law, legal institutions, and legal processes.
Members are nominated by Fellows in their jurisdiction and elected by the Board of the American Bar Foundation. Membership is limited to one third of one percent of lawyers licensed to practice in each jurisdiction. Sustaining Life Fellow is a highly regarded status within the organization.
Tinney also was recently selected for 2008 edition of Super Lawyers. The only way a lawyer can be listed in Super Lawyers is through a strict selection process. The Super Lawyers selection process includes peer nominations, a blue ribbon panel review and independent research of candidates.
